Where we work

The center is Gallatin. From there we schedule Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, Portland, White House, Westmoreland, Castalian Springs, Cottontown, and Bethpage. These are neighboring communities in and beside Sumner County. If your ZIP is just outside this list, call (615) 819-1869 and we will say whether an inspection makes sense.

Homeowners who also keep a house farther south, on the Maury and Williamson side of the region, are outside this map. That work is described as crawl space encapsulation in Spring Hill on the Spring Hill site. Gallatin Crawl Space does not schedule that drive.

What the climate does under these houses

Every town on this page shares humid summers, clay soils, and rainfall that keeps crawl spaces from drying on their own. Vented foundations pull that outdoor air onto the joists. Bare soil adds vapor. The useful difference from town to town is the lot: a Foxland Harbor house near the lake is not the same drainage problem as a Portland lot on tight clay or a Cottontown house in a low spot. Crawl space encapsulation closes the structure. Humidity control dries the air. Mold remediation removes growth that the moisture already started. Crawl space insulation replaces batts the humidity ruined.

How to ask for your town

Use the estimate form and name the city and ZIP. Say whether you see standing water, a musty smell, fallen insulation, or a soft floor. Those four observations map to moisture control, humidity control, insulation, or crawl space repair faster than a generic note that the crawl is “bad.”

Gallatin

Gallatin is the home base and the county seat of Sumner County. Downtown houses often have older vented crawls and piers. Fairvue and Foxland Harbor add newer houses, some of them close to Old Hickory Lake, where summer air stays heavy and a vented crawl imports that moisture. Crawl space encapsulation and humidity control are the two scopes we explain most often inside the city. Fallen batts in those crawls are a crawl space insulation job once the space is dry.

Hendersonville

Hendersonville shares the lake with Gallatin and adds its own mix of older houses and later subdivisions, including Station Camp and Indian Lake. The drive from Gallatin is short. Musty air, sweating ducts, and builder plastic that has slipped off the soil show up here for the same climate reason: humid summers over clay. Mold remediation comes up when growth is already on the joists, not as a default add-on.

Goodlettsville

Goodlettsville is the southwest edge of the area we schedule, including Sumner County houses before the city gives way to Davidson County. We do not treat it as a different climate. Vented crawls here still take in humid air, and moisture control still starts by asking whether the water is a puddle or vapor.

Portland

Portland sits on the north side of Sumner County, where Highland Rim clay holds rainfall against foundations. Houses here often need moisture control for liquid water before encapsulation makes sense. Humidity control still matters once the pond is gone, because summer air through the vents does not stop at the county’s north end.

White House

White House straddles the Sumner and Robertson line on the northwest side of Gallatin. We schedule crawl space work for houses on this side of the service area when the job is encapsulation, insulation, a vapor barrier, or repair. Send the ZIP. Clay lots and vented foundations are the usual combination, not a different kind of structure.

Westmoreland

Westmoreland is the northeast corner of Sumner County. Rural lots can send a long run of roof water toward one foundation wall. That is a drainage question first. If the wood is soft, crawl space repair is named before anyone covers it. Mold remediation is listed when growth is visible, then the space has to stay dry.

Castalian Springs

Castalian Springs sits east of Gallatin. Older houses and open lots are common, and bare soil under those floors keeps evaporating into the crawl. A vapor barrier is sometimes the whole job. When vents and summer humidity are wetting the joists anyway, encapsulation is the honest scope. We look at the hatch, not the community name.

Cottontown

Cottontown is west of Gallatin, still in Sumner County, with houses spread onto lots that can hold water in low spots. Moisture control and a ground liner come up often. Insulation that has fallen out of the joists is replaced only after the crawl is dry enough for new material to survive.

Bethpage

Bethpage lies between Gallatin and Westmoreland. Smaller-town houses here commonly have vented crawls. The failure mode is familiar: humid air in, clay vapor up, fiberglass down. Humidity control and encapsulation are the two services to read if the smell arrives with summer.
